Before we depart for winter break, our PDS tradition is to spend a day enjoying each other’s company. We warm and brighten the darkest days by celebrating winterfest.
Students and faculty joined together for crafts, skits, games, helping in the lower school and some decorating and baking.
The best part for me this year was our gathering in the theater for a story about the sun, an interpretive dance by lower school students about the solstice and some singing– about winter certainly. This year we began what I hope will be a new tradition. We concluded by singing “Here Comes the Sun,” because it will surely be returning our way by the time we all see each other again.
Enjoy the photos from today. Even more, please enjoy and cherish the time you have with your family over these next two weeks. See you all in January!
