We made contact! GRA author tweets back!

Global Read Aloud started this week, as I wrote earlier. One of the biggest thrills of the program is the connection with students in other schools, and connection with the author.

We made our first connection yesterday. The grade 7 English class tweeted about their early impressions of the novel, One for the Murphys. And, a little while later, the author, Linda Mullaly Hunt, tweeted back! She also favorited the tweet– meaning she liked it so much she wants to cherish it in her personal archive.

If you are on Twitter (or want to start using this really fun new digital literacy) you can follow @pds7th and hear about their English learning all year long.
